About The Bumblebee Garage Search Project

Our company, The Cyber Web Inc has been online for over 10 years making us one of the oldest and most stable internet losers. I say losers, because after 10 years, we are still launching startups from our garage.

The very nature of the internet allows anyone to run a multi million dollar business from home. Or launch a massive new search engine from their garage, just like google did.

But the truth is, we have a large client base in website hosting and software leasing. In addition we run several hundred of our own websites under our BumbleBee Brands. Websites about fishing, automotive, gardening, programing, website hosting and just about everything else you can think of.

With nearly 500 websites we have millions of daily page views and a marketing potential that would make any company envyious. But with a small product base much of the marketing potential goes unused. We even have our own adwords type text based ad delivery system at bumblebeeads.com. We can instantly deliver thousands of ads to millions of pages and gain instant traffic to any website.

Our sucessful automotive classified has been opened to all webmasters in a web feed that allows anyone to add the full classified database to their own website. For individual car dealers to display their own inventory on remote web pages. The same technology is being applied in several other industries as we develop new tools for each of our websites in different markets.

Our company The Cyber Web Inc has never been short on technology. We have been innovators and leaders in the industry, but always working from home. Always trying to break out of the garage.

Our primary hosting system pagebuzz.com runs totally proprietary software and technology. A simplified e-commerce website builder that brings complex dynamic database technology to the average user for a few dollars a month. We even run our own secure processing gateway providing full real time credit card processing for our clients.

Our sucess in technology is huge for our size and in most cases huge for even a large company. But, there comes a time in your life when you want more. Bumblebee Gargage is our next step tward having more. Taking technology to the search market.

We are cleaning out the bank accounts, selling our extra stuff on ebay and raising as much capital as possible to "just do it". I have been blogging about and playing with search engine programing for 2 years. Now it is time to actually start building one.

I have a full rack of servers that are spares for our hosting servers and some old low end machines that have been replaced with new multi-processor servers in the data center. I have a few quad processor machines here and bought a stack of 14 disc SCSI hard drive arrays on ebay. Pleanty of equipment to get my search engine started. And right now, it is all set up in my garage.

You can't play with the big boys unless you are in the game. You can now consider us in!

We will continue to build the database and technology in 2007 and with any luck, launch the next big search 2.0 on the world in 2008.

The list of websites above as well as smartybee.com should be enough proof to anyone questioning our motives for crawling websites. If we did not have 10 years of web development, I'd say we are full of hot air like all the other web 2.0 no money startups. But we have many sucessful websites and thousands of happy customers that know first hand that we are serious about web deveopment.

We could have built a phoney corporate store front and put up some bogus mumbo jumbo about how we are a giant funded super company taking over the world. But that is not who we are and it is not our style. We are honest and up front with people and the payoff so far has been huge.

People trust us and depend on us. We don't tell everyone they will make millions online, we don't try to sell people a dream. If they have a dream we try to make it a reality. But sometimes we have to slap them around and wake them up to bring them back to sanity.

We are an honest Garage Based Startup, with no desire to step on toes on the way up. We would rather grow as a result of our customers growing aided by our support. So far, its working great!

This new project will take us to a new level by opening an automotive market that did not exist. It is unlikely google, yahoo or msn will try to limit searchs to one industry. So we are likely alone in our quest to build an industry specific search for cars.
